Privacy Policy

Your account. Your email address, name and password, plus an optional profile photo. Passwords are stored hashed; we cannot read them. We also keep your settings — your theme, your notification preferences and the answers you give during onboarding.

Your product catalogue. The products you add to ResaleStudio: titles, descriptions, prices, quantities, SKUs, categories, condition and photos. Some of this arrives when you import listings from a marketplace; the rest you type in yourself.

Support messages. When you email us, we keep the message and your address so that we can reply and follow up.

Technical data. Our servers keep standard access logs (your IP address, browser type, the time and the page or API endpoint requested). We use them for security and troubleshooting only.

Billing details: none. ResaleStudio is free during early access and has no paid plans, so we do not collect card or bank details. We do not use your email address for marketing.

When you connect eBay or Etsy, you sign in on the marketplace’s own site and authorise ResaleStudio through OAuth (Open Authorization). The marketplace gives us an access token; we never receive or store your marketplace password. With that token, and on your behalf, we access only the following:

Buyer details inside orders. Each order or receipt includes the buyer’s name and shipping details — the delivery address and any contact details the marketplace attaches to the order. We store them as part of the order so that you can see and fulfil it. We use them for nothing else, and you must not either.

Nothing else. We do not access your marketplace messages, your feedback or reviews, or your marketplace finances or payout accounts.

Marketplace data is used only to provide ResaleStudio to you. We do not sell it, we do not use it to train AI models, we do not use it to suggest or model prices, and we share it only with the service providers listed below, to the extent they need it to do their job.

How fresh it is. Listing data is refreshed when you sync. Orders are imported, and quantities updated, on a 30-minute schedule. Views and watch counts refresh every 12 hours.

When you disconnect a marketplace. Disconnecting removes the marketplace’s access tokens and all of that marketplace’s listing records from ResaleStudio right away. Your product catalogue and your order history stay in your account until you ask us to delete the account. The tokens are deleted on our side; we do not currently send a revocation request to the marketplace, so you can also revoke ResaleStudio’s access in the marketplace’s own settings.

If our agreement with a marketplace ends. We delete the content we obtained through that marketplace’s API within the period the marketplace requires — for eBay, within 10 days.

Etsy

When you connect an Etsy shop, we act as a service provider on your behalf: we access your Etsy data only because you have asked us to, and only to do the things you use ResaleStudio for.

• Etsy connects through OAuth. We never collect or store Etsy passwords.
• We keep Etsy data only as long as needed to provide the service, and disconnecting your shop removes its tokens and listing records as described above.
• We do not sell Etsy data, share it except with the service providers below, or use it to train AI models. The analytics in the app are computed from your own orders and shown only to you; we do not use Etsy data for analytics or benchmarking of our own.

We use the data described above to:

• run ResaleStudio: show your listings, inventory and orders, and push your changes to the marketplaces;
• keep quantities in step between marketplaces when an item sells;
• send the notifications you have turned on — new order, low stock, sold-out delisting, sync failure and reconnect reminders — by email and in the app;
• answer your support requests;
• keep the service secure and troubleshoot problems; and
• meet our legal obligations.

Where it lives. Your data is stored in our own database, hosted with Google Cloud (Google LLC), United States (us-central1). Product and profile photos are stored with Cloudinary (see below).

How we protect it. Marketplace access tokens are encrypted in our database. Passwords are hashed. Access inside the service is role-based, and every seller’s data is isolated to their own account. Traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit with TLS (Transport Layer Security). No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep what we store to what the service needs.

How long we keep it. We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, including your catalogue and order history, within 30 days. We may keep a record for longer where the law requires it.

These are the companies that process data for us. We have no payments provider, no analytics service and no advertising partners.

We also send your listing content to the marketplaces you connect — that is what ResaleStudio is for — and we may disclose data where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

ResaleStudio sets one cookie, which remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode, and keeps your sign-in token in your browser’s local storage. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored and how to clear it.

• Access and correction. You can see and change your email address, name, photo and password in Settings at any time, and manage your notification preferences there too.
• Disconnect a marketplace. You can disconnect eBay or Etsy at any time from Settings. The marketplace’s tokens and listing records are removed straight away, as described above. You can also revoke ResaleStudio’s access from the marketplace’s own settings.
• Deletion. To delete your account and everything in it, email info@resalestudio.com from the address on your account. We delete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
• Questions and complaints. If you live somewhere that gives you additional privacy rights, you can exercise them through the same address. We will respond within the time your local law requires.

If we learn that your data, or marketplace data we hold on your behalf, has been accessed without authorisation, we will notify the affected sellers and the marketplace concerned promptly. For Etsy, we notify Etsy and the affected sellers within 24 hours of discovery, as Etsy’s API Terms of Use require. The notice will say what happened, what data was involved and what we are doing about it.

ResaleStudio is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email info@resalestudio.com and we will delete it.

We will update this policy when what we collect, access or share changes. When we do, we will email the address on your account and show a notice in the app; material changes take effect at least 14 days after we notify you. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when the policy last changed.
